An EMMY-winning television host and producer, Kira has both a radiant and modest personality. She’s passionate about the human power of mass communication, life balance and harmonious stability.

She loves the combination of water and sunshine, danceable music and anything related to her two homes: El Salvador, where she was born, and the Dominican Republic, where she spent very formative and significant years of her life. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in journalism and telecommunications from the prestigious Grady College at the University of Georgia. Her career started and blossomed at Univision’s channel 14 in San Francisco, California, where she worked as marketing and communications manager.

Since the program’s debut, Kira has been the host of the leading Spanish-language morning show in the Bay Area, “Al Despertar”, through which she invites the very diverse community of Spanish speakers to wake up with a smile by providing entertaining information that enriches their lives. Additionally, Kira often serves as the mistress of ceremonies at various community and corporate events, where she addresses the multicultural Spanish speakingdiverse audiences with ease.  She customizes and delivers workshops in personal development for various audiences.  Kira is seamlessly bilingual and bicultural, English and Spanish, and has a unique appreciation for diversity and other cultures which stems from her many travels around the world. Her passion lies in the power of mass communication for the greater good: she believes that the balance between hard work and the importance of developing our personal lives results in a sustainable, integral and better quality of life for all. Through her work, she wishes to nurture a community that respects nature and all living things, as well as fosters stronger families and a more peaceful world.
